I got one of them rolly ball mice you use with your thumb. Fucking game changer, it does not require any kind of flat surface.

I got a wireless handheld one and was great for couch gaming, I’d give baby a bottle and they would sleep so I didn’t want to move and just used the trackball in one hand and a keypad on the other

My wrists though… if I’m using a laptop without peripherals, it’s because I currently don’t have access to peripherals, and need to use the keyboard and trackpad on my laptop…

My work laptop/ tablet thingy doesn’t give me permission to control rotation, otherwise I would be doing this. Chronic pain and fatigue means I sometimes just need to lie down during work. Luckily I can use speech to text.

The keyboard is basically unusable in the top right picture. Extremely uncomfortable to type in this position.

Some people have bad posture or other issues. I had undiagnosed ADHD for 37 years and let’s say I had a very terrible way of sitting in chairs to try and keep still that it becomes difficult to break that habit.

Here is how I default to sitting if not paying attention and checking myself, hope you appreciate my Picasso like talents for art 😂

I guess some sitting positions are universal, hello fellow foot on the chair fella, do you also do the thing where you wrap your feet around the chair legs, or where you slowly slide down until your head touches the chair?

Not sure what you mean by wrap feet around the chair, might need a drawing.

I do often slide further down until head touches chair when sitting with feet on the ground.

Ah I’m an idiot. It’s so obvious now.

Yes I have been known to sit like this. As well as ok the chair style in my picture, attempting to wrap legs around the single down pole in the middle.
