Hey guys this isn’t a good rebuttable. It just feels like corporations and SuperPACs are valid when you like who does it. Musk needs to be shoved out with Trump into a bottomless pit, but I personally don’t like it when my preferred party accepts corporate donors who will want favors later.
I’ll worry about Patagonia’s “dark money” operation after I worry about Elon Musk’s $250 million purchase of the presidency, including his scheme to buy votes. If shopping at Patagonia means I’m bankrolling democrats, I’d say it’s more incentive to shop at Patagonia. I’ll take the moral high ground after we’ve eliminated the worst offenders, first.
Article definitely feels like whataboutism in the current climate.
Yes their products cost a lot, and ethical consumption doesn’t exist in capitalism, but they seem closer to positive than any of their competitors.

This is phrased in a negative light. I read it as “Patagonia is supporting the Democratic party!”
Yeah I think the laws would change so we know these donations. But I doubt either party really care to change at this point.
