Summary

The FBI discovered the largest cache of “finished explosive devices” in its history during the Dec. 17 arrest of Virginia man Brad Spafford.

Over 150 pipe bombs, some labeled “lethal” and preloaded into a vest, were found on his Isle of Wight farm, along with unstable explosive material stored in a freezer near food.

Spafford, who lost three fingers to explosives, allegedly used President Biden’s photos for target practice and expressed support for political assassinations.

Prosecutors argue he poses a severe danger, while his lawyers claim he’s a law-abiding family man.

his lawyers claim he’s a law-abiding family man.

If this was a movie script, it would be rejected for being too unrealistic.

What kind of society do we live in where it’s illegal to store your homemade pipe bomb collection in the freezer?

Don’t worry. If a fridge can protect Indiana Jones from the heat and radiation of a nuclear explosion, I’m sure a fridge will be able to contain a few pipe bombs if they go off.

Why do I even pay taxes if I have to hide my suicide vests?

Just use a belt and you can hang it by the front door. It’s the vest that makes it illegal. Loopholes 👌

He’s a hard working man with no criminal record… who just also happens to love stockpiling a shit load of highly dangerous and highly illegal explosives.

Yes…officer…those are special bottle rockets. You see unlike normal bottle rockets, these are sealed on both ends! It makes them fly further.

How long can they hold him on just a charge of a short barrel rifle? Did he commit any other crimes?
