I noticed a bug bite on my leg today. It’s surprising to me because I thought it was currently too cold for mosquitos to live. Where I live, we do frequently get mosquitos in the summer, but not typically when it’s this cold.
Also, the bite is in a unique spot. It’s right below my knee. they typically prefer my hands/arms or my ankles.
Probably a spider bite. In SoCal, I get them a lot.
This comment single handedly convinced me that this is a spider bite.
I don’t live near ticks, like the other comment suggested. I live with many spiders in my home.
Watch out for red flare if there is any danger of ticks in your area.
All the tic bites I’ve seen in person have a sort of necrotic divot in the center, even if the tic tests negative for disease.
I absolutely hate ticks. Fortunately the chances of it being a tick bite are very low. I will look for the ring none the less.
Update: I woke up to a mosquito buzzing in my ear. I now believe there is a mosquito alive in my apartment and feeding off my body.
