Summary

Senate Republicans are leveraging the recent New Orleans terrorist attack, which killed 14 people, to fast-track Donald Trump’s controversial cabinet nominations and amplify his anti-immigration agenda.

Despite the attacker being a U.S.-born Army veteran, GOP leaders, including Lindsey Graham, linked the tragedy to border security.

Key nominees, such as Kash Patel for FBI director and Pete Hegseth for defense secretary, face strong opposition due to inexperience, misconduct allegations, and controversial statements.

Critics accuse Republicans of exploiting the attack to sideline debate and advance Trump’s partisan priorities.

The sad thing is that the fact Republicans twisting anything to absurd lengths as “justification” for their evil bullshit has become so de rigueur that it’s no longer news each time they do it. My reaction each time something happens is “what else did you expect?”

The answer to any problem, according to the qons, involves one or more of the following:

    1. Border security! 2. Crack down on trans/gays/POC/liberals/women/non-xtians 3. Dismantle unions/public schools/USPS 4. More handouts to the idle and parasitic rich.

Humans too often prefer the lies as it drastically “simplifies” the very complex reasons behind the topic at hand, AND it lets them blame those people who DO get the actual truth and cause them to subconsciously feel stupid (which - let’s face it - by choosing lies over truth, they are).
