    That’s so cool! I love seeing depictions of everyday struggles from history that we still face today. It really helps me feel connected to our ancestors. Humans have barely changed over the centuries.

    Bruh.

    My house is filled with roaches. Fun toys for my cat to squish, but one cat is no match for potentially thousands of roaches just hiding somewhere. Its not my house, and parents are refusing to get an exterminator because its a “scam” so I guess my cat just has extra fun toys 🤷‍♂️

    The only source I can find online for the ancient Egyptian image in the upper left is this Reddit post. I don’t know how trustworthy the guy writing it is, but he apparently writes about ancient Egypt a lot. He explains what’s going on in the picture and includes some more ancient pictures of roach combat.

    TLDR: Ancient Egyptians were afraid that roaches would eat their mummified bodies and therefore interfere with their afterlife.
