That being said, he did work for Trump and accumulated some enemies doing so.

Trump initially pulled his secret service protection back in 2019, which President Biden restored:

This seems to be yet another act of petty retribution against someone who spoke poorly of Trump.

      In theory, one would want anyone who knows certain classified info to be protected so as to not allow those secrets to be obtained by the country’s enemies

        Because they still have valuable information.

        Also, if former employees weren’t provided with protection than it would be tough to fond new folks to do those jobs.
