I’m getting my concealed carry license in about 3 weeks. Are there any companies that offer concealed carry insurance that donate to political campaigns or PACs?

I’ve had my permit for ages and ages. Like 23 years or so. I’ve not carried insurance.

    Idk that I would

You carry it so you don’t end up with a lawyer bill the size of a medical bill. That’s the only reason most of us have it.

That’s really what I’m concerned about. I’m not some trigger happy maniac, but if I’m forced to defend myself or my family I don’t want to end up destitute because of it.

You will %100 be happy to have it if, god forbid, you ever have to defend yourself with lethal force. As the police will %99.99 of the time arrest you, as it’s basically protocol until they have straightened everything out.

That’s very fair. It’s been something I’ve looked at… but haven’t given much thought… Apparently it’s a popular idea and I should revisit.

Yep, it’s peace of mind that you don’t have to worry about the financial side of this. As there will be a mental side that’s going to need help.

I’m unfortunately not terribly versed in carry insurance. You could consider just donating to such groups directly. FPC and SAF come to mind as two groups that actively make the world a better place for the average gun owner.

I have car insurance. Does that mean I have no business owning or driving a car?

Legal fees can be pretty large. It is quite reasonable to want to hedge against potential large financial burdens.

You do know what sub you’re in right? Go drag your dumbass comments out of here. We don’t give a fuck that your smooth brain tells you guns are bad. The subset of mouth breathers like you who are completely against firearm ownership, is shrinking every day. A huge portion of the left has embraced firearms, and even more so now with trump 2.0 sitting in the white house.

I don’t think you understand what the insurance is for. It’s to help cover your legal fees, both civil and criminal, as well as Bond/bail in the case that you have to shoot someone to protect yourself.

It’s kind of stupid to conceal carry without it.

You probably should get therapy now for the trauma you’re going to get when you shoot someone to protect yourself. Or lube so you prevent chafing while you stroke it thinking about shooting someone and insurance.
