As if Janeway didn’t commit much worse crimes going back in time to bring Voyager home. Let the one who is without sin cast the first stone.
Tuvix did nothing wrong
Neither did Janeway.
What’s a little bit of murder when compared to her other crimes, eh?
I generally respect Janeway’s focused attitude: yeah there are rules, but they can try me for my crimes IN THE FUCKIN’ ALPHA QUADRANT goddamnit…
But Tuvix man…
She murdered my boy. <sniff>
I 100% guarantee if Tuvix looked normal, ST fans would have a very different perspective when it comes to killing him.
We would be cool with his murder?
Unfortunately most ST fans I see openly advocate for the killing of Tuvix.
Openly advocate?
I mean . . . I wouldn’t say that.
It’s a flawed premise to begin with. Just like the “Shaka, when the walls fell” was a flawed premise. But it gave us an interesting sci-fi episode.
Yes, openly advocate. At least that’s what I see whenever the debate comes up.
I want to give some credit to this community, and suggest that some vocal advocates for killing Tuvix are just doing so to wind others up.

I’ve advocated that Janeway did nothing wrong. My primary motive is that it annoys my fellow Trek fans. I know I’m wrong, but I’m not even repentant. It’s such an interesting discussion, and I enjoy being on the wrong side of it.
She’s only doing that because she knows she can’t re-integrate the dozens of Harry Kims. All but one of them is already dead.
A dozen timelines and still an ensign in all of them.
Janeway looks up in surprise
“There are HOW many Mark I EMHs?”
I hope there are at least fewer Mark II EMHs. One Andrew Penis is enough.
My fan canon now is that because the Prometheus was a prototype testing ship, it was also the prototype Mark II. The source code was stored on that ship’s computer and nowhere else. Then the NX-Prometheus was a sploded during the Dominion War.
All gone!
