Just absolutely feasting, gorged on gullible idiots, who’ve spent the last near decade being increasingly belligerent and manipulative and gas lighting toward everyone not in their death cult.

Too bad their idiocy will destroy much more than just themselves.

      What a shame.

In other news, anyone wanna set up a hermancainaward style community for… Trump Regret Syndrome, or something like that?

I do love me some schadenfreude when its derived from evil idiots.

There was a story I read 10 years ago about a guy in Florida. He was at a beach, and there were several signs and fences, and warnings not to be on the beach because there were alligators in those waters.

A policeman saw the guy, wearing a bathing suit, headed for the water. He yelled at the guy "NO! STOP! THERE ARE ALLIGATORS IN THAT WATER! IT’S MATING SEASON WHICH MEANS THEY’RE HIGHLY AGGRESSIVE RIGHT NOW!

Dude yells back “FUCK THE ALLIGATORS!!!”

Goes into the water and within 30 seconds is ripped to shreds in front of his wife and children. When his emotional wife tried yelling at the cop “WHY DIDN’T YOU RUN IN TO SAVE HIM???” The cop answered “I’m not going in that water. There’s alligators in there. It’s not even safe to have a lifeguard on this beach.”

I bring that up so you’ll understand the reference I make here.

I don’t feel bad for “Blacks for trump”. I feel zero empathy for them and the problems trump causes them. Not because they’re black, or some racist thing, but because they ignored the alligator signs. All the signs were there. All the signs were there. All the signs said it would be bad for them. They still went into the lake. Fuck em.

Beach? Alligators don’t like saltwater. They like lakes and rivers and such. Maybe he was swimming in a lake. Lakes wouldn’t have lifeguards.

Also, anyone in Florida knows you don’t swim in lakes. You treat all bodies of water as if they have a gator in them.

Granted, we’re talking about an idiot that would swim with alligators. So that part might be true, but a lot of this story is suspect to me.

              Yes, that ceasefire.

Trump was definitely part of that ceasefire, as evidenced by how Netanyahu rejected this exact same deal when Biden proposed it last time in May. If you have a plausible reason that he suddenly changed his mind from even a month earlier (where there were no mentions at all of a ceasefire) then let’s hear it, otherwise Trump is the only explanation. We all hate the orange man here but objectively speaking Trump is a lot more plausible as a explanation than Biden’s lackluster “negotiations” finally bearing fruit coincidentally right before Trump’s inauguration.

I know this is nitpicky semantics and all, but the party technically was not founded on hate for anyone who isn’t a rich white guy, it was at one point the party of opposition to slavery but after the Civil War ended and reparations began the parties sort of shifted and became moderate and heavily bipartisan until that all changed in the 1960s when Democrat President Lindon B Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and political parties continued to polarize in the rise of the information era until reaching the peaks we’re currently at.

Billionaire fascists have no friends, they have accomplices and pawns. Both are disposable once they served their purpose, much like the values and principles said billionaires pretend to stand for.

The painful part is he didn’t even say anything like “I regret voting for you!” It was more like “I am strongly considering reducing the level of my support for you!”

Not that Don needs his support anymore. I almost feel like one of the biggest messages to keep pushing is: “Don doesn’t care about you.” As far as I can find, he hasn’t even put out any comments on the pardoned Jan 6 rioter that was killed in a traffic stop.

Careful, sounds like you’re slipping into the old racist “noble savage” trope. Remember why Biden got backlash for telling someone “you ain’t black” because he had reservations about voting for the democrats?

This has nothing to do with noble savages etc. Trump has said and done many racist things directed at black people. He has provided aid, comfort, and pardons to white supremacists. If you are part of a group that Trump targets and disdains and you still vote for Trump, it doesn’t matter how you justify it (hate for trans people, greed, etc.). It makes no sense for a non-white person to be support a white supremacist. As for white Trump voters - they finally found their hitler.

You’re saying that no sane PoC would vote for Trump, when a significant number of PoC voted for him. That sounds a lot like you’re saying their perspective is invalid and they need to adopt your perspective. Hence, it follows the noble savage trope.

Have you ever wondered why they would vote for someone who openly says racist things?

The noble savage trope is about the supposed moral and physical superiority of people living in a natural, pre-industrial environment. It simply doesn’t apply. Do I think that people who vote for trump have an invalid perspective? Yes I do. Do they need to adopt my perspective? There are lots of people I don’t agree with who don’t support fascism. I am not such a believer in moral relativism to think that anyone is above criticism for their political opinions.

You didn’t answer my question, have you ever (honestly) wondered why PoC would vote for Trump over a Democrat? You have every right to criticize them, but it doesn’t sound like you’ve put any thought into why they disagree with you. The result is you will say things that alienate and dehumanize them, which is counterproductive.

Fair enough. Here is my take on why a person might vote for trump (aside from bigotry, hatred of trans people, etc): I think some people consider a Trump vote a protest vote. The condition of many black people in America has been bad under both democrats and republicans (though for the last several decades, republicans have been demonstrably worse). Institutional racism is real, and people are angry about the status quo. I think many people feel like both democrats and establishment republicans have failed them, and voting for an outsider might be a way to shake up the system. However, as a protest vote, Trump is a poor choice. He is the apotheosis of white privilege. He was born rich. His family business was notorious for discriminating against black people (both under DJT and his father). His own family members have warned the public that Trump is racist towards black people. His comments and actions during his first term are not consistent with a leader who wants to help people of colour. Trump is definitely shaking things up, but it won’t be in a way that benefits anyone but straight white Christians of means.

I agree that alienating and dehumanizing voters can be counterproductive in a democracy. If democrats want to win next time, they have to persuade some portion of non-voting and republican-voting Americans to vote democrat instead. There are many methods of persuasion, though - and not all people are amenable to all forms of persuasion. No one likes to feel foolish, and surely some people who voted for Trump are feeling a bit foolish right now. Pointing out ironic examples like this guy who supported Trump and is gradually learning to regret his decision might have some merit.

Thanks, I honestly want expecting that kind of a response.

I’m sure there are some who voted out of protest, but only someone who identifies as a Democrat/leftist would vote for Trump out off protest.

Another reason I’ve heard is that Trump doesn’t try to hide his bad side. Democrat (read: neoliberal) policies tend to favor corporations over individuals, and homeowners over renters. Guess which race is more likely to own home and have a stock portfolio?

you have to imagine they signed up to be token trump supporters, knowing they’d be invited on interviews both for their pre election support, and post election face eating. they wanted to be the circus. that’s all, nothing more, nothing deeper. and the media are happy to oblige.
