Was Elon even sworn in into any departament head role? How is he even doing anything there? Sorry for possibly stupid question but everyone else is being interrogated and voted on during confirmation hearings, right?

Traditionally joining a gang or mafia requires you to commit crime that can be used to control you later on. There are rules, some unwritten and unspoken ones are now brought to the light, that’s all. This also means this overstepping of boundaries can be used against Musk once he falls out of favour.

He’s basically going around telling people what is happening, and to take it up with Trump if it’s a problem. Then those people are dismissed. That’s the extent of his authority.

‘So this feels like a hostile takeover of the machinery of governments by the richest man in the world’, they call that a coup.

The greatest and most vital of government secrets are safe. Because no chance any of those kids understand fortran or cobol.

They’ll just delete it rather than try to understand or modify it. But small victories.

That is the beautiful part of it. It is a fundamental brain block in like 99.999999% of “The Children”.

In an old life I had to deal with this. Maybe one in every hundred interns we had realized how similar matlab and fortran were. The rest just immediately locked down because it wasn’t python or, in rare cases, C++.

There’s that, but there are also good things about one’s brain still developing in that age.

Still, all this weirdly enough resembles early Soviet Russia, “How the steel was forged” and all that mood, about young people conquering every obstacle with their spirit. Not Nazis. Doesn’t work well anyway.
