Not posting from the app obviously since submissions aren’t supported just yet, but the app is otherwise awesome so far!!! Really well done ljdawson, just wanted to make this post to say thank you. I signed up for sync ultra right away.

Now that I have Sync again, I feel 0 desire to get ever go back to reddit again

The only thing lemmy was missing was a really solid client

Same. I’d have preferred a simple ad-free iap, but ultra is fine for now. I was so excited for this app that I want to support it.

Yup… bought the remove ads feature as soon as it showed up to support the dev. I imagine losing the revenue stream from reddit was pretty impactful.

Pressing and holding on a picture in the feed and it expanding. Very useful if you use compact view or don’t have full height cards enabled.

My Lemmy.world account is crashing it, seems to be working fine with my fresh new FMHY one.

My lemm.ee account crashes it too with a LOT of subscriptions. My other account with zero subscriptions doesn’t. I think if you have too many subscriptions it’s a problem.

Interesting… I have zero subs on my lemm.ee account and haven’t seen any problems with it yet… Quite a few on my lemmy.world account but I think most of the problems I’ve seen there have nothing to do with subs.

          You just proved my suspicion!

I made the compromise to use Sync with an “empty” account for now and I’m sure these kind of things will be ironed out in a couple of days/weeks. It’s a very complicated piece of software, so sometimes things do be like that.

          Cheers, my friend!

All my accounts crash the second I try to change something in options after the account is setup.

I’m actually having an issue where hidden posts keep unhiding themselves, but it isn’t obvious what’s triggering the bug quite yet.

Unfortunately hide isn’t native to Lemmy yet, you need to mark as read first so it doesn’t come back. Also might require you to uncheck show read in your Lemmy settings

Lemmy.world is being DDoSed, for the time being you can try a different instance

Weird issue I have is that links in text are like a way bigger size then the rest of the text for some reason.

I just want to say that I absolutely love being able to see the thumbnail picture enlarged by long clicking it again. I used Jerboa up until now, but it’s absolutely great to have all those familiar gestures back.

/KBin isn’t Lemmy and doesn’t have a completed API yet (currently pending review), so apps are basically non existent for it.

Artemis is in the works using the in development API on their own instance and I think the scraping is still there as a fallback from what I’ve been reading, but that app is still in private beta while it’s being worked on.

Even once the API is complete, there’s no guarantee that Lemmy apps will support /KBin since presumably they’re Lemmy users not /KBin ones. I believe the dev of Artemis, is planning to open source a translation layer though to make things easier for everyone so they don’t have to re-do all the work she did.
