Me and my buddies spoke about “Oregano” in High School often, but I don’t think we were having the same sort of conversation

I was too much of a nerd that I joined a informal high school circle where they hike and talked about “plants and trees” and all they did was smoke pot where I wanted to discuss invasive species to the forest population.

I overheard some of my students (16-18 years old) during lunchtime today. They were all standing over a phone, looking at a photo.

“Is that a dead deer?!”. “It looks like a dead deer” said another. “Oh I thought it was a dead deer too”.

Then they all agreed it was a french bulldog. WTF?!

It’s the fault of those woke leftist school lunch policies that kids these days eat well enough to know what fresh basil is.

(Or “kids those days ate,” at least, because that policy is long gone due to Trump.)

      Gianna Michaels

I hope in retirement she has peace. She was the top star for such a long time. Or if she’s not retired and just doing customs, I hope she’s getting to pick stuff she wants to do. But really I hope she’s just retired somewhere sipping a fruity drink and getting the therapy it takes to navigate a society that hates you for doing the thing it paid you to do

Welp. I wish we didn’t live in a world that both drives people to sex work for survival AND demeans them for doing it

That’d be true if this post wasn’t entirely made up.

I don’t even know what basil is because I could not care less about learning English spice names nor do I care enough to look it up. I’m guessing it’s those eatable leaves though because those are called Basilikum in German. The name also allows English basil “enjoyers” to make a pun and we all know this is a sign of a correct translation.
