    Give us open carry in Florida and I’ll gladly join in. And I don’t need the black tacticool gear, I’m well outfitted to carry comfortably.

    I don’t want to discourage people like this, but they look like fascists that bought shit off Amazon to look cool. You have to actually wear your gear, work in it, hike and run in it. These men are sloppy.

    Want to wear gloves? Cool. They better fit tight as fuck and you better be able to work all your gear while wearing them. Find yourself fumble-fucking that zipper? Put a key ring or hair tie on it. (Hair ties are your friend!) This guy on the right, good luck getting those fat gloves in the trigger guard when shit happens. Almost everything needs to fit tight, while still allowing complete freedom of movement.

    You have to practice with your gear. Practice is as easy as walking around your house. Good? Now go out and hike in it. Good? Now run in it. Anything even slightly annoying? Fix that thing. Again, it’s all practice, reliability and comfort.

    Look at the guy on the left. Is that a bipod on his weapon?! Love those, have a couple for target shooting. Those are not for combat on an AR platform. Kudos on the 20-round mag, my fave for weight and maneuverability. The presumed med-pack right in front? Sling that around to the dominant-hand kidney position. Out of the way, easily accessible. Kudos on the patch, let’s other people know what’s in there if you go down.

    Don’t start me on guns. If these men don’t even look comfortable in their clothes, I can’t imagine how much time and energy they’ve put into their actual weapon platforms.

    Please! I don’t want to put anyone off from learning! But this all takes time and practice to see what works for you! If you roll out intending to defend others, please take the time and effort to make sure your gear works for you. And start with safety and training with your primary weapon.

        Not at all. Hell, open carry is only legal in Florida if you’re on private property, hunting, fishing, etc.

        You’re likely thinking of the Bruen decision which was about conceal carry. New York said you have to show “proper cause” to get a license. So, uh, I have to prove to the state, what exactly? Also, imagine the racism state actors could apply.

        What’s even more jacked up is Alabama requiring the county sheriff to approve your conceal carry application. Jesus. Please refer back to the meme above.
