‘Fetal personhood’ bills would grant fetuses, embryos the same rights as newborns.

Lawmakers in at least eight states — Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Texas — have considered bills to go even further, to punish women who seek abortions.

Most of these states have already banned abortion. But new criminalization bills would allow women to face homicide charges for obtaining abortions. The bills would classify an embryo or fetus as an “unborn” or “preborn child” who can be a victim of homicide. Many of the bills would repeal parts of state laws that explicitly exempt women from being punished for seeking abortions.

    I mean, it’s the logical consequence of their argument that abortion is murder. This shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone, and it’s why Dobbs was so disturbing.

    Unfortunately, most people just didn’t give a damn.

        Dobbs overturned a USSC case you may have heard of before: Roe v. Wade. Roe set the judicial precedent of medical privacy, and one of the primary implications of that was essentially guaranteeing the right to abortion as necessary and (reasonably) desired by a patient.

    Until Americans start subjecting these “lawmakers” to the type of incentives that reflect their lack of humanity, you’re going to keep seeing this sort of degeneracy.

    I’m a Republican Mother and I DONT CARE if my DAUGHTER can go to PRISON for LIFE for having Miscarriage! That’s BETTER then GAY KIDS BEING ALIVE!
