From A Place Called Hope

Our Great Horned Owls prop has helped so many nestling staged owlets not imprint on us caretakers. When birds imprint, they pay attention to detail. That is why we skip the toy puppets and use life sized photograph cardboard cut outs to block ourselves when we feed. This baby is growing fast and next in our queue for returning to the treetops. Three owlets so far this season. Two back up with adults successfully and this one scheduled when our team is rested and ready.

      I coudn’t say no to a chance at free money for the cause. The Owl of the Year Awards I paid for gave credit to World and not me technically anyway. 🤪

      I think they’ve been clarifying the rules. It looks like you can’t vote for the same person twice, regardless of time.
