It requires Trump not to Lie.

    Oh. is that all?

Gaetz explained his latest plan this week while discussing Trump’s most recent indictments, relating to his attempts to overturn the 2020 presidential election, with right-wing radio host Charlie Kirk. In order to end the investigation and other federal charges (from the Mar-a-Lago documents case, or any other future charges), the House of Representatives would have to grant Trump whistleblower protection status, Gaetz said.

pretty sure… the anti-retaliation protections aren’t exactly retroactive. IE you can’t be the subject of a criminal investigation (78 felony indictments and counting…) and go squealing to congress to get out of it.

Gaetz is an idiot if he thinks that would work.

Gaetz just wants to be useful so he can go back to commiting crimes with immunity and a pat on the back.

Any time I hear about ‘Pub plans I just imagine basic shapes scribbled on a cheap napkin with a Crayon. “Good job, little Matty. Now go play. Adults are talking.”

I thought his plan was going to be something remotely plausible like defunding the Justice Department. Maybe they will try to subpoena the work product of Jack Smith’s investigation to hamper his investigation. I think they will try anything.
