I fully embrace the lemmings thing lol. Definitely an afterthought, but someone remarked about how redditors always think they’re especially unique freethinkers, and call everyone else “mindless drones”, when they go along 100% with US foreign policy.
We might as well embrace lemmings here as an ironic joke (especially because lemmings don’t actually walk off cliffs, that’s anti-lemming propaganda).

Anything fediverse related has my vote. Lemmy is bigger than just Lemmy, after all. Another thread about this had fedittor, fedinauts, fedis, fedizens, threaditor and more. Personally, I’m partial to fedizen.
EDIT: Fedditor is also pretty good. Says where we came from and where we are.

I don’t think fedinaut is a particularly good-sounding general term, but I am going to insist to personally called a fedinaut by all three people that will ever have a reason to call me so.
I want to be called a fedinaught then, just to shake things up.
fedizen and related terms are funny in portuguese as “feder” means “to smell bad” in Brazilian. Can’t wait to use it with my colleagues.

What’s the need for the special secret handshake? I really think that’s one of the silliest things of reddit culture that would be great to just leave as we switch over to here.
