The “Frasier” revival at Paramount+ has set its premiere date.

The return of the beloved sitcom will debut with its first two episodes on Paramount+ on Oct. 12 in the U.S. and Canada and on Oct. 13 in all other territories. In addition, the first two episodes will air back to back on CBS on Oct. 17 beginning at 9:15 pm ET/PT. The new season consists of 10 episodes.

Paramount+ has also released first look photos from the series and a teaser featuring a new recording of series star Kelsey Grammer performing the show’s theme song, “Tossed Salads & Scrambled Eggs.” The photos and the teaser can be seen below.

Per the official description of the show, “the new series follows Frasier Crane (Grammer) in the next chapter of his life as he returns to Boston with new challenges to face, new relationships to forge and an old dream or two to finally fulfill. Frasier has re-entered the building!”

Along with Grammer, the cast also includes Jack Cutmore-Scott as Frasier’s son Freddy; Nicholas Lyndhurst as Frasier’s old college buddy turned university professor Alan; Toks Olagundoye as Olivia, Alan’s colleague and head of the university’s psychology department; Jess Salgueiro as Freddy’s roommate Eve; and Anders Keith as Frasier’s nephew David. Bebe Neuwirth will also guest star in one episode, reprising the role of Dr. Lilith Sternin.

Grammer executive produces in addition to starring. Chris Harris and Joe Cristalli serve as writers and executive producers, with Grammnet NH Productions’ Tom Russo and Jordan McMahon also executive producing. The series is produced by CBS Studios in association with Grammnet NH Productions. James Burrows directed the first two episodes. The series is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution outside of the Paramount+ markets.

I enjoyed Frasier, but not because of Frasier himself. I really enjoyed seeing the interaction between him and his brother Niles, along with Roz, Daphne etc.

So if this is just a show about Frasier, then I’m out.

I thought the same when he spun it up the first time without Cheers cast.

I’ll give it an episode or two before I pass judgment.

Like others here, it was the rest of the cast I enjoyed most. Frasier was mostly cringe.

I’ll watch a token episode to test it, give it a fair shot, but yeah about the same. If you’re gonna do a reboot you gotta have everyone on board. Futurama seems to be doing fine, they got everyone. Frasier is missing half the cast.

I literally have a tattoo of Frasiers dad’s chair and the text “I’m listening” tattooed on my arm and I am asking the same question. There is no need for a continuation.

I’m with you. I loved Cheers. I didn’t give a fuck about Frasier.

Edit: Lens, Kaus, sorry I offended you enough to get downvoted by you by not being a fan of your favourite show lol

Eh I liked Frasier, maybe a bit more than Cheers personally, but I grew up with it. What I don’t like is that Frasier was not just Frasier, it was an ensemble cast. I don’t know how they think they can bring an ensemble cast back when half of them have been replaced. It’s not Frasier anymore.

Cheers was good because it was an ensemble cast, what’s the point of making a show just about Frasier? I’m not gonna watch it if there’s no Woody or Norm, what would be the point?”

I’m not saying I think this will be as good/better than the first run of Frasier, but people should at least give it a shot before writing it off with the exact same criticism that was leveled against the show they now love when it was announced 30 yrs ago.

    No Niles?

I was a pretty big fan of Frasier so I’ll probably try to see at least one episode (when I can get it in Europe), but I don’t have hopes up. It seems nobody else does either.

On the other hand, Rodney Trotter? This just seems weird.

I am hopeful that this is good, I don’t get why people are upset about this. It’s streaming, if it doesn’t work who cares.

Beer in the trailer, beer in the screen grabs, character has left radio and moved back to Boston…

Shit, is Frasier buying the bar from Cheers?

The new song sounds awful. He sounds like he sang it drunk AF.

Also, with none of the other original cast members returning, I don’t see this show going past one season.

Believe it or not, Kelsey, most people didn’t watch the show to see you…

This tells me that he needs money and so does the studio.
