    I could be wrong, but can cuomo legally spend it? All these rich assholes donating, if mamdani got there I have to assume the asswiper for the rich has.

      Define “legally”.

      One cool trick they do is that they “write” a book and the PAC buys all the copies to “give out to promote the candidate”. The profits go straight to the politician and books are recycled or whatever.

        Having looked into it, cuomo is apparently not restricted in the same way mamdani is. Basically, mamdani opted into a public finance thing that prevents how much he can spend.

        Cuomo with his superPAC hasn’t so he can spend it all.
