It’s absurd to me how broken the thing that passes for journalism is here.
Reporting things in plain language will both cause them to lose access, making future reporting harder, and cause billionaires to fund lawsuits to bring down the paper.

It’s unlikely to self-regulate. TYT and especially DemocracyNow speak truth to power, at least. There are others… A scant few, but they exist.
Yes, outlets with no access to lose, no ads, and don’t cover non-political content can do things. You can’t get local coverage that way though
