They went hard with Seven’s transition. Having the full Borg suit, then a cut down suit, then a cat suit complete with platform heels (looks at Berman).
An intriguing origin that flops back into early Deanna territory. At least Seven got a lot of interesting stories and Jeri Ryan is a stellar actor.
We have Jeri Taylor to thank for making Seven a complex, three-dimensional character. I’m sure Berman got miffed that his teenager-bait turned into a respected character with humanity.
Apparently they had to keep oxygen tanks on set for her initial silver uniform because the corset was so constrictive that Jeri would pass out during filming. They also had, uhh, specially constructed “breast mounds” so that the catsuit would appear to actually be attached to her skin instead of stretching across her chest like such tight fabric normally would.
