The only reason I might be okay with this is if this was a way for the platform to try and guarantee that the game actually releases and isn’t just vaporware. I doubt this is the actual reason for it, but that’s the only understandable reason, IMO.
Knowing nothing about this, I hope the lawsuit fails. Isn’t the whole point of crowd funding that you’re putting your money in what you believe in, despite no guarantees?

The developers are suing. Their crowdfunding gathered 340k for them, but the crowdfunding platform has only sent half of it.
I interpreted the article to mean that the developers are suing the crowd funding platform. It appears that the platform hasn’t given the majority of the money that was crowd sourced to the developers.
Classic Lemmy moment. Wishing harm on others for their differing, obviously inferior beliefs and morals.
