Q is such a great character. I fucken love him.
He’s like Sanguine from Elder Scrolls, but with a sci-fi tilt.
I think a big part of that is John de Lancie, too
I would suck his toes just to make sure he was having a good time. I love that man.
Did he? Looking at the entire picture, Q is basically a benevolent trickster god for Picard. Almost every single “trial” has Picard coming out stronger because of it. ST:Picard even has Q state it out right.
Picard was his pet project. The kind of thing godlike beings do when bored. Just reshaping the dynamics of a galaxy for shits and giggles.
That applies to most gods in real life religions too. If anything Q has a more respectful relationship with Picard than gods display in most mythologies.

Unfortunately I’m only familiar with the meme. I’ve paid no attention to him otherwise. Have I missed something I’m guessing?
Given the full spectrum of human expression, I guess he’s not that bad. He’s just an overall talentless hack and asshole.
