If Heather is smooth enough (which you could argue either way based on the other party not realizing it’s a date), this is her opportunity to pivot hard into it being a date. Say something mildly sappy and emphasize it really being a date, go for the kiss.
I was once hanging out with this woman in college and she said on the phone to her friend “I’m on a date” then she said “well it’s technically not a date” after I looked at her. So I was like got it not a date.
