Ah yes, we just finally threw out a brown paper bag from takeout because it finally tore through, but the cats were playing and sleeping on it more than any furniture we’ve bought them until it nearly disintegrated.
That’s why I’ve had this random fruit box for 6 years.

Any bag or box that smelled like French fry grease was sovereign property of the cat and if you put it in the trash, congratulations on encouraging the cat to knock the trash over and drag it out
My cat turns her nose up at french fries yet apparently many cats are obsessed with them.
Our cat just liked the smell of the grease (soaked bag), she’d nibble on a french fry and spit it out. But the bag they came in, especially something like 5 guys? She’d sit in that bag for a week straight purring away. Pizza boxes were a similar favorite of hers, she liked the cheese and meat toppings but wouldn’t touch the rest. But she’s sit on or in a box like it was the best cushion.
Here’s my girls fighting over who gets to be the paper bag princess.
Lawn and leaf bags for sticks leaves and grass. Basically giant grocery bags.
Bottlecaps and earplugs everywhere
Mine always loved the tie from bread bags.
Our bois will be in the corner, then mad dash out of the bedroom and hide. It’s always used Q-tips.

As someone without cats but with random garbage in my living room, I am forced to confront the fact that I might just be lazy.

One of my cats absolutely loves cardboard cupholders.
If we buy pizza we have to put the boxes in the oven. Our little bastard will shred the box and eat the pizza. And that’s not good for his little kidneys.

I have random garbage in my living room but no cats. The cartons are so I can throw more crap in them. Will take them out soon
My house with torn-up parts of dog toys everywhere. Look, they still like the toys this way.
Me: what are you doing?
Cat: this is my box now, it’s warm and a box.
Me: get off my pizza, in hungry!
Cat: touch my box and I will claw your face off.
