Very much so, but at the same time they have to not let themselves be absorbed and neutralised by the corporate dems. It is a difficult road to walk, but its the only realistic way of pushing left wing policy in the US right now.

I have my doubts at how well that will work out. There are many leftists (the online ones, anyway) that sure do loooove their impossible standards and self-sabotaging.

Also, I’m sure we will see a flood of bullshit bothsides narratives from the reactionary centrist types about how “ZOMG!, both sides are now so extremist, what shall I even do? I mean obviously treating concerns of the working class is equally extreme as the other side, which is galloping toward open fascism! Oh who am I kidding, I’m going to either sit out entirely, vote for some ridiculous third party, or just vote Republican!”

Somehow, these bothsiderists never seem to vote Democratic. It’s so weird.

Im a both sider and I vote democrat. One is objectively worse than the other but both sides are more about their corporate donors and actively hinder what the majority of their constituents actually want. I also blame democrats for allowing this current brand of politics to fester for the past 50 years by trying to straddle both sides of isle with a republican group that has been racist, late stage capitalist, authoritarian, and lacking in empathy.

The People need officials who remember they work for us, not the other way around. We need more democratic socialists and less establishment Democrats who side with the Pedo Party.
