I think this article and headline does a poor job of explaining the wider context around this one.

It is likely to be aimed at financial traders who want to see market-moving news fast. Trump’s social media posts often cause sudden swings in global markets, especially when he writes about trade and tariffs.

For firms, a delay of even seconds can be costly. Until now, banks and traders had to monitor the app manually. The new system will send posts directly to paying clients.

There haven’t been any fucking consequences so far, so why the hell would he think this wouldn’t stand, as well?

Is this not just straight up blatantly illegal on the face of it?

Am I taking crazy pills or is this timeline really so cursed?

He does not. Never has. Just one of the many reasons it baffles me that someone would vote for him.

He has a known track record of illegal bullshit all through his past and up until now but somehow people just ignored it? It’s madness.

From the people I talk to, they celebrate that he can do this. To them, he’s their hero who can get away with anything. It’s a lot like if your favorite sports team can foul but not get called on it. As long as your sports team wins, it’s all good.

If we’re talking about appearances, it appears from the outside as though the entirety of America doesn’t care about the law, given how blatantly everyone’s been breaking them without so much as a finger wagged. It’ll be business as usual until a large swathe of people get fucked (already happened plenty) and then someone organize (this part hasn’t and may never happen).

I don’t even live there and I’d buy a ticket to spit on Trump’s corpse, Mussolini style. Hope I get to buy that ticket one day.

As someone living there, me too…

------ I agree that from the outside it does look like the entirety of America doesn’t care ------ but

We have had some large protests, there’s growing discontent and assuming there isn’t a crazy amount of fuckery (there may well be though but we’ll see) the GOP will lose their majority in Congress. It’s possible then that something more may be done.

The problem is most people are comfortable enough and would prefer not to get engaged in violence but we have had some large non violent protests.

The bigger problem is that all 3 branches of our federal government (judicial/legislative/executive) are controlled by one political party and those in power are subservient to Trump and the MAGA pieces of shit.

I’d call it a design flaw but it is also kind of what happens with all Republics and ours was built this way on purpose. One could argue if all 3 branches of the government agree on something it’s probably worth doing. The question then becomes, what are they agreeing on and is it actually good for the majority of us or are we doing terrible things in the name of the state?

Idk I mean I’m sure I could, and people have, write a small dissertation here but I’ll stop now. Just … it’s fucked up for us Americans here in USA too and a lot of us hate it.

This has always been a thing, and we know it definitively from the Epstein files, as several of the declassified emails show that Epstein met with heads of state to discuss how to maximize their own timing of anticipated market events, like the 2008 crash.

Prediction markets and Donald’s own corruption have just made it a publicly normalized thing.

People paying for this are getting conned twice. Once for paying obviously, but a second time when trump dumps his stocks after it shoots up from everyone copying his trades and they’ll be left holding the bag.

And then when it crashes they’ll all blame Biden

So, the ones who know his … ahem … statements 😉 a minute earlier, they could win with their speculations?

Does anybody think this is something else than a tool for manipulating the stock market?

We know it is for stock manipulation. There is no other reason anybody but his cultists would voluntarily forcefeed themselves with Trump social media diarrhea, and for a fee even.

Someone should make a bit that instantly retweets those posts as soon as they come through
