Therians, also known as therianthropes, are individuals who identify as one or more nonhuman animals, partially or entirely, on a personal level, which they call their theriotypes.[2][3][4][5] Therians are often considered a subset of otherkin.[6][7] The enduring experience of identifying as a nonhuman animal, as well as the broader lived experience of therians, is commonly referred to as therianthropy.[8][9]
I am technically a therian, but only insofar as having animal-like qualities in the mental image of myself.
boy sure would be nice if the moderators moderated this community and didn’t allow hate comments

Do you mean to say you identify as “Therian” ?This is so stupid I can’t believe.
Alright well then go and not believe it over there by yourself.
No, I’m not a therian. My partner is, though, so I feel plenty offended on its behalf.
So sad to hear, I’m very sorry for you both.
I identify as therian as well. Some people are just so closed minded it’s sad.
Edit: I think I hurt some chuds feefees awww
I think it’s political realism. People are conditioned to uphold consensus reality by the media. Because if people started choosing our own species, and interpreting our condition for ourselves, why, we might decide not to believe in the “objective” reality of capitalism, or the patriarchy, or the borders.
What I’m saying is, otherkinity is a gateway drug to throwing off the perceptual tyranny of the “real”. I should know; I became an antirealist right after I accepted My species identity.
I feel like I’m right on the edge of being therian. I don’t identify with some stuff a lot of therians discuss but I do share a lot of the vibes and most of my friends are therian or otherkin anyways.
I did imagine phantom canine ears once during an acid trip at a furry camping convention, though. That was awesome.
