I’m surprised there haven’t been any lawsuits from teams lower than them in the table. It’s proven this wasn’t a one-off event, since they have evidence of the same guy doing this to 2 other teams. If the fact they did it for the playoff game was enough to get them disqualified after winning that game, then why wasn’t it enough to get them DQ’d for the regular season games they were caught doing it? Take away those points (I can’t remember which games it was and how many points they got from them), and maybe Wrexham gets up into playoff position. Or maybe one of the teams they cheated gets more points and avoids relegation. I think it is too late to change the playoffs or who got relegated, but I think there is valid argument for financial impacts to some of the teams in that league.

I just assumed that the other clubs didn’t feel pursuing a lawsuit was financially feasible for them. Even if they got a payout of would probably take quite a long time.

Yeah, I honestly have no idea what laws are in place in the UK and whether this is something they could sue over. Or even if the culture over there is different from the sue-happy US culture.

There is a very sue happy culture vis à vis “defamation” which means rich people can silence critics worryingly easily.

          I don’t know if financially it’s as sue-happy though.
