Sex is like anything. It can be great and it can also be destructive.

When I was younger I dated three people who engaged in destructive sex, two were hyper-sexual and the third was something else. Two were in college and the third was when I was in the Army. The two hyper-sexual ones were insatiable and as a young guy whose dick would get hard with the wind blew I loved it. In both cases we would have sex at least three times a day.

The third one was less entertaining. She had to cheat. She had to sneak off and fuck other people. She just could not help herself it was how she got off.

Looking back and thinking about two of them the hyper sexuality was really a symptom of their larger issue. The one I “dated” in the Army was clearly a Borderline or Bi-Polar I do not know which. She was actively being treated by a shrink. I put dated in quotes because people who have to wrestle with either of those are a real challenge to be with.

The one I dated in college would purge. I don’t know if she was bulimic or anorexic. I was a college kid wrapped up in all my own bullshit so I didn’t understand or get what I was seeing. “She just got sick a lot”

Honestly, from what we hear, “sex addiction” is made-up bullshit by puritans to try and keep people in line and feeling properly ashamed about getting off.

Sex is totally normal. Porn is totally normal. Being horny is totally normal! Some people are just naturally hornier than others. (Some are less horny than the norm, too.) Being horny all the time isn’t an “addiction”, it’s just having a different baseline horniness level. But even besides that, how much of “sex addiction” is people with perfectly average horniness looking at porn or whatever a perfectly average amount being shamed for it, combined with everyone else around them hiding their own wanking/porn/whatever because “oh it’s shameful”, making the baseline look artificially low?

How come people have a coke addiction? I did a bump or two and felt just fine. Why can’t they just do a rail and be done with it?

Yea, same logic. But OP relies on the assumption that sex addiction is only for those who have sex when it surely includes masturbation and pornography.

That to me would be like a coke addict using adderall/speed as a substitute. Works on the assumption that the masturbator would be having sex instead, if that were a possibility.

This seems like a really loaded, shitty way of “asking” about this. But hey, who has time for things like consideration of other peoples’ hardships when you have to pump out 100 of these “questions” a day, amiright?

This is the person who claimed to work as a medical professional (and also a coder) but doesn’t even have an elementary level understanding of addiction? How interesting.

    Alternate post title:

How come people have so called “social media posting addiction”? So much they have rehab places for it. Why not just masturbate and be done with it?

Dude or dudette my sister started this account but since a early on set Alzhiemer’s diagnoses really she’s been pouring herself into work. That’s why it says in my profile 3 people use this account.

Masturbation is included in sex addiction. Or rather the viewing of pornography to masturbate. In fact, you can go to a rehab for just trying to quit fapping, though expensive.

If masturbation completely replaced sex, human history wouldn’t exist because we wouldn’t have reproduced like we did.

Masturbation is like eating a granola bar to replace a meal. Works fine to get by, but damn does it suck if that’s the only option to keep going.

It’s more fun to be with another sex addict if you can find one.
