This place confuses me. Random Toshiba ad with both English and Japanese. Chinese signs hanging from the ceiling. Person on the left in a chador (?). Where the fuck is this?
I was going to guess maybe Malaysia for some reason.
I don’t see Japanese anywhere other than on the Toshiba sign, but I do see what look like Chinese characters under Roman ones on further signs.
Looks like the women on the left is wearing some sort of hijab. So certainly possible.

No its not. This is an SM mall supermarket. Its a standardized floor plan. They have them all over SE Asia.
And I clearly see at least three people and evidence of two more. I get it, they’re going after that Backrooms vibe but it fell a little short.
