Let’s not forget that The Doctor is basically Trek canon thanks to Pelia’s very direct statement in SNW S04E01

"I’ve seen one [interstellar storm] once a long time ago but not from this close. I think I was in a phone box at the time.”

Small inconsequential easter eggs as nods to other properties are one thing, like R2D2 in the Kelvin movies, or even the Tardis showing on the background behind the Enterprise in the SNW S03 episode “The Sehlat Who Ate Its Tail". But a direct reference by a main character, during a major plot point, is a totally different level.

That wasn’t the Doctor, though. That was Gary Seven, Trek’s own Legally Distinct Doctor.

I will freely admit that I squealed a bit at that moment.

There’s a literal TARDIS tangled in the scavenger ship in the sehlat that ate its tail

Both Doctor Who and Star Trek are part of the Tommy Westphall Universe, so of course they’re canon to each other.

Not to get too OT, but shouldn’t this be spoiler tagged, based on rule 3, since this episode only released like a week ago?

A fair point, though it’s not in any significant way plot related. An Easter egg at best.

Sure, I’ve just got it queued up on my iPad for a flight I’m taking on Saturday and was surprised to see it mentioned, haha.

Its not the first one she’s made either. Ask her about a time travleling doctor she once knew.

Two or Four are the only ones i will accept

They all are really, just a matter of degrees. 11 did the best turns from zany to deadly serious.

I was referring more to the character himself than the actor who portrayed him. Who is always an eccentric.
