    The certainty that romulan had, that asked geordi to connect disparate tech (his visor to his tricorder)… like it was just a given that all tech is composable, and that they use singularities for power… i would accept it as canon that romulan tech is superior.

      Or Romulan tech was full of pointless Wunderwaffen: flashy and cool, but ultimately less stable, less reliable, more expensive, more difficult to upgrade and maintain and that’s why they never end up controlling the galaxy.
