Nope. Bathory is once of those bands that were an essential influence of other musicians and that are partially responsible for what metal music is today but for whatever reason they seem to be relatively unknown for today’s metal masses.

They’re one of those bands that, if you like any version of metal, you kinda need to check out. Maybe only one listen through the discography, but it’s worth it just to hear the origins of a lot of metal characteristics.
Not everyone will like them. And, I’m dubious any time someone claims to like listening to the first album more than once lol. Like, there’s some serious fucking metal on there, but the recording is so fucking bad.
