He can protect his family from porn but who will protect his family from Mike Johnson?

What do you mean? Isn’t it perfectly normal to notify your kids whenever you beat off?

I thought it was but now they won’t talk to me anymore

          Sure, buddy.

Even if he didn’t get caught on an interview saying that he did exactly that, it’s still batshit crazy for a member of congressional leadership to install spyware that explicitly captures blackmail material.

But I guess Republicans aren’t exactly known for keeping their shit on lock. Donnie had a shitter full of classified docs, after all.

            Inb4 somebody goes “bUt bIDeN”

Accidentally forgetting classified docs is bad, but the real problem is keeping them. Trump refused to give back his classified documents. Pence and Biden gave them back immediately, which is why nobody gave them shit for it.

I dunno, it’s freakin weird. But is it magic underwear weird?

Do right wingers do anything besides worry about what’s going on in other peoples pants?

Why is it weird to block inappropriate sites on a local network?

And “other people” being his own children? Yeah that’s not weird, that’s responsible.

Because it’s not a blocker, it’s a reporting tool. It doesn’t stop anything, it just invades privacy. It doesn’t teach that pornography is bad, it teaches them that it’s restricted to someone they’re not. It prevent parents from actually having to teach their kids morals and how to process the world, in favor of just blocking it out and pretending bad things don’t happen.

Not my cup of tea but it comes down to a difference in parenting and it’s fucking weird that it needs to be a national news story that random people feel like they need to have an opinion on.

It’s not a difference in parenting, it’s a difference in perceiving other people as actual people. Thinking that restricting access to knowledge, makes it go away, doesn’t consider that other people, have self actualization. In other words, everyone else are just things, not people.

You have to realize that leftists want kids watching porn. I think they get off on it or something.

The right-wing imagination delights in this type of fantasy. They’re titillated by the thought of sexualizing children.

          Gross, dude.

I can’t explain conservative fantasies. Maybe it’s because of the shame instilled by their religion that makes them sexual deviants?

The taste of forbidden fruit, as it were?

              Idk, they’re freaks.

Lmao what fucking universe do leftists live in that this is an issue? It seems like a far better solution than just trying to blanket block massive portions of the internet to filter porn and sexual content since “hard” filters usually just make the internet much more difficult to use, with many sites serving both regular and pornographic content, and are also pretty easy to get around in most situations. A “soft” filter that relies more on the human side of things seems far preferable, since it doesn’t impede usage, and allows for far more nuance in things since a human can make far better value judgements regarding what is and isn’t appropriate.

Also, the nature of an accountability system rather than just a router filter favors more open discussion over what is and isn’t appropriate. It’s insane that they spin this as some massive evil.
