Just a reminder that currently in lou of an app to support Lemmy, on iOS you can add lemmy.world as a webapp to your Home Screen by hitting the Share Button -> “Add to Home Screen”.
This will give app an icon for lemmy to your home screen and fit the webpage into a webapp for quick access. Hope this helps ease the migration off Reddit!
And, if you really want a native app:
Check out the iOS lemmy app: mlem (you can get into the BETA via TestFlight).
If you are on Android, I hear the app to use is Jerboa.
Also, the join-lemmy.org site has a list of apps now!
I’m using Mlem for iOS, it’s in beta.
It’s in its infancy but it is functional and I read that the team is hoping to have a 1.0 on the App Store by July 1.
It feels pretty good to use, it has some bugs but I’m into it.
Mlem is pretty good so far. It’s basic, and there are issues, but the developer seems to be making frequent updates, and it’s functional. I’ve been providing a little feedback as well, and looking forward to seeing it develop.
This is awesome. Excited at the prospect of apps hitting the App Store as early as July. It will definitely help accelerate the growth of the site
