I have been playing a lot of Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral and memorizing what each character likes can be a bit daunting at times so I use it a lot. It also helps when you are trying to figure out certain character’s schedule and where specific items are found.

Lots of pages also go the extra mile and include a trivia section and a list of bugs.

It makes me wonder which other fan-made wiki’s are of impressive quality or even just which other wiki’s people have used.

I imagine Stardew Valley and Pokemon have some really good ones.

Terraria’s wiki might be the most detailed wiki I’ve ever seen. It has everything about the game, from in-depth guides to small details on each enemy like their AI type to trivia and history of everything related to the game. It really is amazing.

Oh, and you can choose the theme of the wiki in the top to be one of many biomes from the game. Great stuff.

Old School RuneScape, the version thats built on an older version of the game.

There’s also RS3, the more modern version that includes micro transactions.

Its like the problem cousin. Biggest criticisms are the pay to win nature, inconsistent art style, and UI bloat. OSRS is basically the second chance to make things right and largely achieved this in every way (no p2w, simple at its core complex in its capabilities, community polling for new content). Everything that RS3 did wrong was a learning experience for Jagex. Not to say RS3 can’t be fun for people

The wealth of information on the wiki actually improves the game so much. Especially since they moved off of the shitty fandom site

Path of Exile has an excellent wiki, especially considering the game’s complexity: poewiki.net

Oh yeah I used to browse that one a lot because I was curious about the world outside of what we see in-game. At the time there were some errors like a character being said listed as Australian because one other character said they were going to put them “down under” and stuff being miss-cited because of material like Fallout Extreme and the Fallout Bible but it seems like it got a lot better since then

UESP is amazing for everything Elder Scrolls, especially if you’re looking to go down a lore rabbit hole.

Guild Wars 2 has an amazing wiki. Hosted by the company itself and written and maintained by the community. No ads, no fandom bs. One of the best gaming wikis I have ever used. wiki.guildwars2.com

Adding as a reply to make a list:

Baldurs Gate 3 official + fan wiki is not Fandom. The Fandom one literally copies stuff off of that one.

Warframe has a community run wiki that is very in depth and abides by in-game spoilers. It is hosted on Fandom though.

Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages is outstanding. Packed full of every bit of info you could hope for, clearly delineates different types of content, thoroughly referenced, and doesn’t run like shit like every Wikia wiki does

Minecraft has a decent wiki IIRC. I remember learning a lot about Redstone and circuits there.

Hey, that’s what I wanted to write!

It doesn’t just have the basic explanations of things and documents literally everything, but it even has huge guides on how to do stuff.

When I recently looked, there were like 10 different examples of parallel world teleporting wands. All listed with their advantages and disadvantages.
