Often when I empty my vacuum cleaner I find the dust has “weaved” together

    Yes! I have an entire startup based on this. It’s called Dustweavers and we weave dust into everything from clothing to microchips. It’s all very straightforward and not even a little batshit.

      Protip: add cats to the factory to increase high quality weavable dust. Cats are also good for microchips.

    Probably not realistically. Weaving fiber into thread relies on those fibers being long enough to hold onto eachother. Dust particles are too small for that. Even dryer lint doesn’t work well - anything you made would pull apart much too easily.

      There was a time when I thought it might be an interesting idea to try and make pillows using dryer lint as the stuffing…

      Never actually tried it though … 😂

    It’s more likely to need a wet felting process… Even then you’d probably need longer strands involved.
