We’re on a downward spiral and politicians are to blame. We’re in late stage capitalism where we do circular deals, cut infrastructure, improvements, and education to bail out companies to keep circular deals going.

Yes, outside of social media. I love my job, my friends, family and just try to enjoy my life.

But, then I use social media like Facebook or Instagram and the algorithm is really hardcore pushing the “AI is taking over engineering is dead!!” narrative. As an engineer that makes me feel terrible/not valued, even though I know it’s not true.

I basically just stopped using social media outside of this and reddit.

We’re all waiting for elections, and then if that fails or he finds a way to stop it then you bet we’re all out there armed. Having a single majority in all three branches is a problem. Republicans are anti-american.

We’re a Republic, we vote in representatives. It’s their duty to represent, but currently they aren’t and need to be voted out.

Movies and Games are one of the highest underpaying tech jobs out there - and they want to shove AI down our throats more?

Hell, I have friends at Disney who are in Sr engineer roles making $35/hr, people at EA who are Sr engineers making like $45-50/hr.

Don’t even get me started on artist who are making half as much, or our QA who make barely minimum wage.

AI can only recycle, at least humans invent and create unique art and tools.

I hope at some point every country just stops all trade with US until Trump is out of office.
