Yep, that’s definitely the thought process the question-asker intended. I’m sidestepping that slightly: if an answer is chosen completely at random then one should be able to completely ignore the text of the question and answer, and roll a four-sided die, leading to 25%. I agree that strategy assumes that there’s a single correct answer. And the typical expectation of a multiple choice question is to only have a single correct answer. The question itself says “the answer” not “answer(s)”, that’s perhaps a partial support of the expectation of a single correct answer. But yes, my assumption that there’s only a single correct answer, while reasonable in general, could be considered flawed considering the nature of the question itself.

  • Also wanted to mention that this could be a matter of life and death. You start to realize your attractions when you’re young. If everyone around a kid is telling them their attractions are wrong, creepy, etc, then they might decide they are unloved and defective and kill themselves. To me that’s a tragedy, whatever their attractions happened to be.

  • People display their sexual preferences in public all the time. It’s hard for me to say that only certain types of sexual preferences should be allowed in public and others not.

I think for some people there is a fear that pride would spread the attraction, as if attraction were a contagion. But, I believe that has the same refutation as above. None of us chose our attractions. Seeing furry art isn’t going to make someone a furry. If someone liked it, then I’d say they were already a furry and maybe just didn’t realize their attractions yet. And them realizing it and accepting it would be a good thing for them.

  • Wrong. You’re not the victim here, you’re the victimizer. If someone is attracted to someone or something they don’t have a choice in the matter, that’s what’s involuntary. They do have a choice in whether they act on those feelings, but that is all. Again, they cannot choose whether or to not be attracted. If you research it, you’ll learn that there is currently no humane way to change attractions, and the proof of efficacy of inhumane ways is severely lacking. Therefore, attraction itself is not wrong. It cannot be. And thus accepting one’s attractions is not wrong. In fact, if one goes to therapy, a competent therapist will be helping the person to accept themselves and their attractions. It’s self-destructive to try to bury those feelings or hate oneself for them. Instead, it’s perfectly fine to find joy in one’s attractions. Those hating and condemning others for their attractions are the ones that are the problem. Now if someone is actually sexually abusing animals that’s a different matter, but there’s no proof of that here. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this shirt. And no, before you accuse me of it, I’m not a furry.

  • Multiple straw man arguments and baseless accusations in your response, unfortunately. To set the record straight: I am constantly looking out for debris, obstacles and other people sharing the routes I’m on and adjust my speed according to the situation to maintain a safe environment for all. I spend a lot of time planning out routes to improve the safety of my ride. I didn’t request any arbitrary restrictions, computerized or otherwise, or even request any laws. I also did not state that I “shoot off at 28 mph if the shared path is empty”. It’s up to me and all of us to follow the law and ride safely.

Also have a torque sensor. I ride mainly for exercise so I stay in minimum pedal assist or even turn off assist sometimes.

I do not use my throttle at all and removed it. I had hit it accidentally a couple times, and simply by preemptively downshifting I could accelerate faster from a stop without the throttle than with it. So I found my throttle entirely useless, or even potentially dangerous due to the accidental taps of it, and removed it. When it was installed it would accelerate the bike up to 20 mph even in class 3 mode, which might have been a violation. The way I read it the throttle should have been completely disabled in class 3 mode.

Your bike software indeed sounds very scary and I’m glad that mine does not have the ability to impose such restrictions. If I felt that my bike’s software was putting me in danger then I’d sell it and get something else. But that’s just me.
