Having used both, personally I highly preferred the Pebble over the Bangle JS.

Pebble was solid software, good designs and it all just worked simply and did what I needed. I also thought the Pebble Time Round was near perfect in design and execution. I’m not a fan of the geeky look of the normal pebble and bangle watches (or the apple watch look).

The Bangle was fun to dev for, and I love that it exists, but it all felt like a dev project. Not a finished product. Granted it was early on in the project so I’m sure it’s in a better place now.

They both have similar capabilities. I say go with whichever you think is going to fit what you need a smartwatch to do.

For sure. All of the tools on the Boox have size sliders.

I can get a post up of each tool and their sizes later today to show you what the differences are.

The Supernote also has sizes for each tool as well.

I don’t own a kindle scribe so I can speak to how those tools work.

How is the battery life on it? I’ve been thinking about the Go 6 but worried about the battery life.

Like you I just want to us it as a standalone eReader and not a full on tablet. Hoping the battery lasts a decent time if you just use it like a kindle.

I already have a Supernote A6X that I use as my journal and sketchbook, but I wanted something larger for use at work to sketch out flow diagrams and have the larger canvas for reference docs.

I also wanted to see how Boox’s options for pens and pencils worked for drawing. I’ve started doing some of those tests now, which I’ll be posting about soon.

Having a more tablet-esque enote device at the larger 10" screen size seemed like a better fit for news reading, so the Boox was the option that fit best.

Do you not have any enote device right now?

Thanks for making this community. Just like you, I still have been checking reddit for supernote stuff (via redlib) and wanted something in lemmy instead.

I was about to make one mysf but found this one via a search.

I’ll try and be active here and maybe we’ll get other supernote users over here soon.
