Issue polling is usually even further left. It’s a huge problem that right now we’re not up 3-4%, because we need to overshoot to manage the EC bias, and that’s not because the country has gained a lot of fascists, it’s because he’s lost a lot of black, Hispanic, Muslim, and youth votes.
That’s just as untrue. Democrats almost always win the popular vote and have been overperforming in every election since Trump. And if you dismiss the idea of a marginal voter and pumping turnout, then nothing you have to say about politics is important because you’re just completely ignoring a critical component in what determines results.
