minus-square@bitwabalink5•1 month agoThe “g” isn’t silent. the “gn” in Italian (and French) is pronounced like a “n” with a tilde (~, e.g “ñ”) in Spanish. bologna = bo lo nya gnocchi = nyo ki cognac = co nyak jalapeño = ha la pe nyo
