trump is going to get the right wing extremist Jewish vote, because Bibi wants trump…
Which is why it doesn’t make sense for Biden and Harris to be going after their votes.
Taking a stand against Israels genocides wouldn’t cost any votes and would gain a bunch.
But AIPAC gives too much money to the party for that to happen.
Quick edit:
Obviously it’s insane for Bibi to want trump while starting wars/invasions against Russia’s allies and being wholly reliant on American aid…
But that’s not stopping Bibi
he’s probably only starting these wars because it’s hurting Harris. Watch him knock it off after the election.
He’s starting these genocides and calling them wars because he’s going to lose Israel’s next election and the only thing preventing an election is the “war” going on.
If Israel has peace, Bibi doesn’t have power.
Seriously, he was about to be recalled till 10/7 and demands have only grown since.
Edit:
Shit…
Maybe that’s it.
Israel can count on the Dems support, and trump is more unreliable, risky, and comes with a price…
But Bibi, if he wants to seize power personally, would be better served with the likes of Putin/trump. He might want to fully seize power and him and trump might have any agreement to back each other when they can’t win an election
Like Bibi does it now, trump puts the US behind Bibi instead of Israel.
Four years later trump does it and Bibi puts Israel behind him.
It’s the only way Bibi supporting trump really makes sense.
But this is a tiny percentage of the overall Jewish vote.
Yeah, he’s the problem.
Agreed, but they still need to retain the Jewish vote overall. The issue here is going too far for Hamas may cost these votes. What Harris needs is a platform and position that gives the pro-Palestine folks what they want while keeping the Jewish voters happy too.
I’d argue that Harris has already done so in stating that we need an immediate ceasefire and a two state solution.
The problem is, just taking a stand is costless but going further - with punitive measures against Israel - those would likely cost.
