Since when was Bill Clinton a nazi? I think I missed a step.

He’s not. They’re trying to link the fact that Trump held a rally at MSG and Hitler held one there, therefore, Trump is a Nazi. But that’s stupid, because Bill Clinton held a political rally there when he was running too. So did RFK. So did many Democrat president candidates.

No, they’re not basing it on the fact that trump had an event there, but that it was almost indistinguishable from a Nazi rally by its topics and demeanor.

They’re saying that trump is a Nazi because of the Nazi slogans he repeats.

They’re saying it wasn’t the first Nazi rally, because Nazis had one before there.

          It wasn’t. At all.

          He’s not repeating Nazi slogans.

And I just found out it’s not even the same building. It’s location has moved twice. It’s such a lame stretch to try and link the two. It’s sad

Sometimes a thing can be different, but reflect the same ideas.

              Lol, the Atlantic.

I said this to someone else but you have to Big Stretch trumps words to even make any sort of connection to the ideas listed in the article. If you’re starting on a premise that’s false, the connection is false too, sorry to say.

Or, not sorry, actually. It’s a really good thing that Trump is not like Hitler or Mussolini.

Now, don’t get me wrong, there’s certainly a fraction of the right who is fascist, or at least, incredibly totalitarian, but they’re swimming against the tide. I do think just like any political movement, we have to thread the needle, and the needle hole is small, so that we don’t tip over into that side either

Hitler did not hold one there. The American Bund / Friends of New Germany did, which had little if any real connection to the Nazi Party of Germany besides similar ideals.

I think they’re saying Trump is a nazi because all the fascist rhetoric that keeps coming out of him and his associates. The rally was just… extra spectacle.

I’m not having this fight with you. Either you can acknowledge that there are parallels or you can’t.

You have to Big Stretch anything trump has said or done to make close to any parallel connection there might be. You’re right, I don’t want to fight either, I wasn’t doing that.
