Hope the price of eggs was worth sacrificing all your civil liberties America

You deserve everything you’re going to fucking get. That includes the women and Latinos that voted for him. Your faces will be eaten eventually and you will get zero sympathy from me.

The amount of interviews I’ve seen where people say “yeah, he has some concerning talking points, but he promised a good economy” boil my fucking blood. The safety of half the population for the empty promise of jobs.

Can’t wait til they somehow spin the failed economy against the Dems again in four years.

I have an idea! Let’s put the guy whose policies partly contributed to our current economic state back in charge of everything. He’ll definitely fix it this time.

Please don’t forget that neatly half of the country realizes he’s insane and is terrified. Not everyone deserves this. Tens of millions of us out there don’t want this.

I hate this as a Canadian cause it’s gonna mess with our economy. But it will also stoke more support for the current conservative dickbag running to be prime minister. Also I don’t want more Americans moving here.

This is going to have a chilling effect on democracy, and an energizing effect on fascism, worldwide. The movement to try to limit climate change is now dead and buried, worldwide. There is no part of the world that is safe from the effects of this.

Also I don’t want more Americans moving here.

I have a sad feeling the rest of the world feels the same way.

I’m at the point where I want to leave these borders. I want to go somewhere relatively quiet and developed that has worker’s rights and isn’t some major turbulent player in the game of global domination.

I’d respect my new home and integrate and do my best to get along with my new neighbors.

But I’m pretty sure we’re stuck here to endure this madness.

The rich have already departed though. So you’ll probably end up with less humble American refugees and more pompous real-estate moguls. And for that, I’m sorry.

I will be shocked if the cost of living comes down at a notable rate when compared to other developed countries.

Conservatives have never been better at managing the economy, yet people believe they are, for some reason ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I heard a lot of commentary about the price of eggs tonight. I live in San Diego, America’s most expensive city. I’ve seen at some major chains a dozen eggs in the $6 - $9 range. Most stores I’ve seen them around $4 or $5 bucks a dozen. I also purchased a dozen yesterday for $2.79, and that was through Doordash even. So like, I call bullshit. Americans are dumb and too lazy to shop around. The gas station closest my house is $5.80 according to Google just now, but I filled up last night about 5 miles away with cash for $3.99. So infuriating that lack of effort or stupidity is likely what drove Trump back into office.

Yeah the thing is the average trump supporter will be hurt less than everyone else (and that’s the whole point)

Oh, no. They will be hurt the same as everyone else but The Donald will just tell them that it’s the Democrats/immigrants/gay people’s/critical race theory’s fault and they will believe him because having someone else to blame for their problems is a lot easier than fixing their problems.

No, straight cis white men will get hurt economically and through living in a degraded society, but they will not be forced to carry pregnancies, or be murdered because of their race or their sexual orientation.

And they know that. As long as he hurts those others even more they’re fine with what he does to them.

Clearly not only cis white men voted for him though. And those people are definitely going to be hurt, and I’m sorry to say but they will fucking deserve it.

Surely the polarisation of politics, in part due to painting cis white men as colonising evil bastards at every opportunity, has nothing to do with the current state of politics.

Yeah, the demographics of voters are just made up, huh? They are the overwhelming supporters of the far right. Don’t wanna be painted like that? Don’t vote for fascists.

I’m a cis white guy too, for the record, and I’m not saying it’s something inherent in skin colour or having a penis that makes someone an asshole. But it’s classic bully behaviour to tell people lower on the hierarchy “look what you made me do”. You want things to be less divided then you should start by accepting the simple facts.

No the demographics of voters are very real and the Kamala campaign spent virtually no time convincing cis white males that their lives would be better under Kamala.

Virtually everyone votes out of self interest. Trying to convince people to vote out of altruism while they perceive they will be losing out isn’t going to work.

If someone “perceives they are losing out” because of doing something positive for women or minorities then that says a lot about their worldview, they are the ones responsible for polarisation there.

Agreed on the campaign though, it was the dems’ to lose and they royally fucked it up.

They perceive they are losing out because of the economy. Look at the places that vote red; they have all lost manufacturing and gone backwards in standard of living.

Hahahaha no they fucking won’t … they’re just too goddamn gullible to blame spurious sources, like liberal policies that are fucking them with taxes…not the trillions of tax gifts given to the billionaires the fucking moron represents.

The supporters will continue to be ignorant, stupid and blame all of their problems on liberals, instead of the 1% absolutely raking their ignorant asses over the coals

We’re fucked, the supporters are fucked too but they’re too stupid to know the leopards will eat their face too.

I mean we both know it but that’s still with us having to deal with the consequences of this horrific decision that has told me I am no longer an American in spirit because this isn’t the America I live in. I believe in freedoms freedom to handle your medical necessities the freedom to follow the god you want to follow The freedom to be left alone to live your life which apparently are not things anymore.
