The game is regularly crashing and taking my whole PC down with it.

Buddy of mine had this, turns out it was a bad usb cable connecting his controller.
I’m using kbm. And it only happens with Rocket League. Within hours of others saying the same.
If it’s hardware, it’s gotta be something related to a recent patch or Nvidia driver.
You could then try to run DDU and reinstall the driver
