Mike Johnson said he is going to order that the Capitol's flags, which are at half-staff due to the death of Jimmy Carter, be raised for Donald Trump's inauguration.
If the flag were at half mast to mourn Trump’s passing and a Democratic president were being inaugurated I’m sure we’d be having a different conversation.
I’d like to believe that but assuming he dies sometime during this term or shortly after he will be deified by his base. I also have a feeling the media and history will treat him more kindly than he deserves.
