    You just need to make it easier to use. I considered mastodon early on, but everyone moved to bluesky because it was simple, easy, and basically just like Twitter with the promise of using a federated protocol sometime in the future. So that’s where I ended up. Not that I use microblogging sites very much, but that’s why I have a bluesky account and not a mastodon one.

        Nope, I knew people who complained about how they couldn’t find each other on mastodon. Y’all severely overestimate how much effort people want to put into their social networks. Most people have way higher priorities. If you can trip over the bar, then the bar is too high.

            Nah, you just like social networks where the software itself is a hobby; and that’s okay! Nothing wrong with that. You just gotta remember that for most people, a social network is there for people to socialize. If you’re having to do non-social tasks for your social network to function, then you’re not gonna get wide adoption.
